How we protect patient information
Protecting patient health information (PHI) is the foundation of everything we do. ClaimCrest RCM operates as a Business Associate under HIPAA and follows administrative, physical and technical safeguards.
- We sign a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) before accessing any PHI.
- All team members complete HIPAA privacy and security training and sign confidentiality agreements.
- We work inside your secure systems; PHI is not downloaded to personal devices.
- Access is role-based and limited to the minimum necessary.
- Multi-factor authentication and strong password policies on every system we use.
- Encrypted channels for any file exchange.
- Prompt incident reporting as required by your BAA.
